“A Parallel Image” is an electronic camera obscura. This media-archaeological, interactive sculpture is based on the fictive assumption that the currently still valid principle of electronically transmitting moving images, namely by breaking them down into single images and image lines, was never discovered. The result is an apparatus that attempts a highly elaborate parallel transmission of every single pixel from sender to receiver. This is only possible by connecting camera and monitor using about 2,500 cables. Unlike conventional electronic image transmission procedures, “A Parallel Image” is technologically completely transparent, conveying to the viewer a correspondence between real world and transmission that can be sensually experienced.

The whole net is a buzz in anticipation of the new Pirelli calendar. From bloggers to established online magazines – everyone is presenting a selection of tasters of the upcoming Pirelli Calendar, photographed by none other than exhibitionism expert Terry Richardson himself.

However, we are going to have to break the mould and not sing the same old song. To be honest Tez, we were expecting more? A team gang bang would have been a bit more edgy than the whole topless babes on the beach with (yawn) sun, sea and surf?

The dream of the man on the street – you are living it for us ! This is what we long to see – you without any pants, with your hands on the sexiest chicks, who – nothing against your magical-masculine, practically infatuating, manliness – force out a slightly agonised smile at their unknown fate for the camera ….

We miss the touch of Terryworld in the too easily produced preview? But who knows, perhaps we were too quick to jump the gun, perhaps you are just lurking around the corner, about to jump out with a huge hammer any minute now? The small and hairy team body doubles certainly haven’t given up hope.
